At the November 12 meeting, we discussed several key updates and successes from the first quarter of the school year. With strong participation both in-person and online, the meeting highlighted the outstanding efforts of our Riderwood community, teachers, and PTA members. Here are a few notable highlights:
- The membership drive has been a success, with over 170 families joining the PTA this year.
- Riderwood Elementary achieved a remarkable 92.5% ELA proficiency, making it the highest-performing elementary school in the state.
- Teacher-funded initiatives like the SCA Movie Night raised over $836 for charities and saw a great turnout.
- The upcoming Art Show and Annual FUNdraiser were discussed, with volunteers needed for both events.
- Blue Water Baltimore is helping to plant 80 new trees on campus this spring.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this successful meeting and to those who continue to support Riderwood PTA activities. Full minutes are available below.
